I have tentatively attributed this weaving to the Shahsavan of the Moghan region; it may, however, have been woven by one of the tribal groups of Varamin.
It is unarguably a visually complex and sophisticated composition.
The manner in which the reciprocal space (positive-negative) is used creates a distinctly horizontal orientation.
Yet, visual height is achieved with the deployment of the "X" forms and the vertical placement of the whole and partial stepped diamond figures.
The natural dyes have produced brilliant colors which contribute significantly to outstanding character of this weaving.
