54” x 125” - 137 x 317.5 cm (+/-)

Description:

The dark area in the upper right corner is a shadow from a nearby tree and not a stain or discoloration.

This kilim departs from the norm in several respects.

The all natural and well saturated colors have a somewhat limited range.

The tonality of the yellow is not frequently encountered.

The deep brown has a hint of aubergine.

The composition is easily 'read' horizontally thus making it a bold, colorful and dramatic wall hanging.

A portion of the weft-faced plain weave end in stripes of red and brown have survived.

Condition:

Fragmented, as shown.

Structure:
Slit-tapestry and weft-faced ends.
Price:
$1,200.00 (currency converter)
